Everyday for the past ~10 years, I came to this website out of habit. It doesn’t fulfil me, it serves no greater purpose, it was just habit. It irks me endlessly when I review my time spent on tumblr and think about what better things I could have done with my time. Every single post I like or reblog is forgotten about moments later, it really is a pointless, unrewarding cycle. Not only that, but Tumblr is just not what it was; it has become something ugly and depraved. There’s the obvious problems, such as the literal child porn, real life gore, etc. and the aggressive, unforgiving politics. The negative energy on this site can be so overbearing at times. I did what I could to protect myself from the content I didn’t wish to see, but unfortunately, as tumblr is a poorly run website, things inevitably slip through the cracks. It is just not worth the mental exhaustion anymore.

So, I’m going to do what I wish I had done all along and put the time otherwise spent on this site into my art, reading, learning, working on my self… things that will ultimately pay off over time. 

It’s been hell, tumblr. Cya. 

Honestly if tumblr doesn’t delete itself I think I might just delete my tumblr anyway

Tumblr got booted off the apple store for the massive amount of child porn on this app. Lots of bots/human-run blogs have posted images and links of pedophilia and human trafficking. Then the bot staff created to fix the problem ended up deleting a bunch of normal people’s blogs by accident. It’s a mess, basically.
